The elaborate ornamental designs are executed with great skill and ingenuity. The ornamentation is based on palmettes which fill the rectangular headpiece of the Canon table and decorate the bases and capitals of the columns which, unlike many other khorans in this manuscript, do not imitate the texture of stone, but are treated schematically as bands of gold covered by interlacing red and blue narrow stripes. The characteristic movements of the birds filling the top and outer margins are rendered in an accurate and lifelike manner.�Den glada atmosfären som genomtränger bilden skapas av den briljanta färgskalan av blått, grönt och rött med inslag av guld. Den genomtänkta usmyckningsdesignen är utförda med stor skicklighet och genialitet. Utsmyckningen är baserad på palmetterna som fyller det rektangulära övertyscket av kanoniska texterna och dekorerar baserna och kapitalerna hos kolumnerna som, olik många andra khoraner i detta manuskript, ej imiterar texturen hos sten, men behandlas schematiskt som band a guld täckt av sammanflätade röda och blåa nära band. Fåglarnas karaktäristiska som fyller toppen och yttre marginalerna är återgivna i ett noggrannt och naturtroget sätt.")

The figures are arranged almost symmetrically, in a frieze-like fashion, thus forming a well-balanced composition. The animation of the faces, the poses and gestures of the characters suggest that the artist sought to enliven the canonical scheme with details borrowed from real life.�Olik de flesta andra illustrerade miniatyrer i manuskriptet, tar denna scen inte upp en hel sida, utan är placerad under texten, i den nedre delen av sidan. Figurerna är arrangerade nästan symmetriska på ett frisliknande sätt och formar därmed en välbalanserad komposition. Their rectangular headpieces are filled with iloral ornament whose intricate design incorporates small figures of birds and animals. The artist increases the number of columns from the usual three or four to five and sometimes seven, and occasionally introduces human figures flanking the headpieces. In this case, we have the artist's self-portrait.�Den mest slående detaljen hos illustrationen i detta manuskript är dess komposition och dekor av dess stora khoraner. Deras rektangulära överstycken är fyllda med utsmyckningar vars invecklade design inkluderar små figurer av fåglar och djur. Konstnären ökar antalet kolumner från det vanliga tre eller fyra till fem och ibland även sju och ibland introducerar mänskliga figurer stående vid sidan av överstycket. I detta fall har vi konstnärens självporträtt.")

The treatment of the characters is remarkable for the delicately outlined ovals of their faces, without the dark contours typical of the majority of Armenian miniatures. The soft and delicate pictorial treatment is accompanied here by a freedom of figural arrangement and an obvious interest in rendering the visual effect of space and volume.�Inte bara bearbetnigssättet, utan även ansiktstyperna i denna miniatyr är utan tvivel tagna från bysantinsk konst. Behandlingen av karaktärerna är utomordentliga för sin delikat skissade ovala ansiktena, utan de mörka konturerna som är typiska för majoriteten av armeniska miniatyrer. De mjuka och delikata bildliga behandlingen fullföljs här med en frihet hos det figurala arrangemanget och ett uppenbart intresse i återgivningen av den visuella effekten hos rum och volym")

The 1332 Gospels belongs to the small group of Crimean/Armenian manuscripts whose illumination was inspired by the art of the Palaeologan Renaissance.
The miniatures in the manuscript easily fall into two groups representing the work of two different masters, one of them probably being Grigor Sukiasants who is mentioned in the colophon as the scribe of the book.�1332 års Evengeliebok tillhör den lilla gruppen av Krim-armeniska manuskript vilkas målninagr inspirerades av konsten hos Palaeologiska renässansen. Miniatyrerna i gruppen faller enkelt i två grupper, representerade av verket tillhörande två olika mästare, avvilka en var förmodligen Grigor Sukiasants som omnämns i kolofonen som författare till boken.

The miniatures in this manuscript are among Taronatsi's best works. In these miniatures the local traditions of Siunik are curiously mixed with tendencies derived from Cilician art.�Miniatyrerna i detta manuskript är bland Taronatsis bästa verk.
